Made as a special request for Knottyman, definitely the last in the Fijian dancing series.
I do wish that I had had a 2nd camera available to take the closeup videos.
Hold on to your hat Barry, but the girls are not wearing coconuts this time

Presented here in a storyboard / pseudo animated form, this is an idea for a video I would like to produce as a live action short some day.
Note: Though all images are original, I did in some cases, use found images as starting templates. I then added and subtracted idea elements, thus drawing a new image with MS Paint, in order to create the custom images needed for each scene. Originally created with Power Director 6 and MS Paint only, this version for SMWOV was re-edited and produced with Power Director 7.

A slide show production of life at the cryolite mining community in Ivigtut Greenland, during the late 40's early 50's. My father lived and worked as an equipment operator in Ivigtut (modern day spelling: Ivituutt), for about 7 years, and these are some of the photo's he took during his days there. Most of the workers who came to work at the mine were primarily from Denmark, though other Scandinavian countries were also represented. It was there that my father, who went to Greenland for the high paying jobs that were scarce in post war Copenhagen, met a young girl who would become my mother. She was also from Denmark and came to Greenland to work as the mine superintendent's house keeper and cook.

A different look at the El Arish in Safaga, September 2008, resting on her port side at 115ft. Following the sad drowning of the Sanyo HD camera, the dive was shot on the Olympus compact at 640x480. Better visibility, although light levels under the port side hull are very low. This part of Egypt is quite deprived, but as usual, the people are great.
